Teachers Strike

On the 15th of August the primary teachers went on strike which means we have a day off while
the teachers protest for more school time and less paperwork. My opinion on the teachers strike
are mixed because it isn't fear that teachers have more paperwork and less time with students
but the paperwork can also be important. Teachers work non stop and never really have a day
off only if they are sick and even than as soon as they get better the start work straight away.
Let's hope they get what they protested for.

    Interesting thought here Alexis. You are correct some paperwork is essential and cannot be done away with. It is good to see that you have thought through some of the issues for yourself. What DLO could you have added to this blog? Remember to keep adding detail to your blogs.

This week we got to draw a piece of paper out of a box and that would have a random country on it. With that country you had to do some research about it and write some instructions on a skill or game from that country. Cross Country

Last week on Thursday my school had cross country. In my age group the year 8s had to run 3km and I came 5th which means I will be going to zones. At 9:00 am the whole school walked down to Walter park to start running, first was the year 8 boys and we finished with the year 6 girls. Everyone ran really well and tried their best I had a lot of fun running and cheering people on. After everyone was super tired and exhausted. Sports Rotations

For the last few weeks every Thursday we have been rotating between 4 sports in our home base's: Cricket, Lawn Bowls, Softball and Korfball. Korfball is a new sport to most of us in class and it is a bit like netball but with a few different rules during game. In Korfball instead the hoops were plastic and taller than the usual hoops. My home base has done all of them except Lawn Bowls and in our next rotation we will be doing that. Have you ever played Korfball before?
