Narrative On The Future

For the last two weeks we have been working on a narrative about the future. We had to pick an ethical issue that is currently going on in the world and theoretically fix it. My ethical problem is about pollution and how we might loose our beautiful world to this, so we should try and live healthier lives to preventing this. For one of my blog posts I posted a plan for writing and here is the final product of that. (It's 7 pages long and might change due to future edit's) The Future Writing What ethical issue would you have written about and why?

Winter Sports Tournament

Image
Last week on Thursday my winter sport's team went to centrals for the hockey tournament. My team consists of Gaby, Grace, Isabella, Mereana, Neila, Petra, Oliver, Ben and I.  We came second in our pool so then we versed for 5th and 6th since we bet the team we came 5th but since a team tied for 1st place we came 4th. We won all our games except for one which we lost. All the teams there were really nice and respectful to our team, everyone worked really hard in the tournament and congratulations to those who placed. I think my whole team can agree that we all had a fun and great time. If you went to a tournament what sports would you play?

Novel Reading Slides

This week for workshops instead of having goals we have narrative writing, reading slides, cantamath project and diamond math template. Today I am talking about my reading slides. In the reading slides it is based off the novel that we are reading. On the slides we had to write an orientation of it then draw a picture for it. Next we would do a Y chart and then on the other slides are more but we haven't finished the book yet so I have not done them. Here is my work so far.   Have you written an orientation before?

Narrative Writing Plan

Last week for writing we were introduced to the next few weeks writing task. We have to write a narrative on the future and in the story it has to include an ethical problem that is currently happening in the world right now. First we brainstormed some ideas on what our story could be about. Here are some ethical problems we brainstormed: *Over Population *Pollution *Global Warming/Climate Change *Extinction Of Animals That was only some of the examples. Then we got given a template for our planning and filled it out, so here is mine: What would you have written about?

Math Diamond Template

This week for my math workshop our goal is: Solve problems with fractions, decimals proportions and ratios using a broad range of strategies. For my create task we had to fill out a diamond template that looks like the one below; we had to choose a question that the teachers gave us and use that for the template. Here is mine: How would you have answered the math question?

Here is my create task:  Have you ever learnt abut the Rena oil spill?
