This week we have been working on some art on google drawings. We had to draw a portrait of our selves and use google drawings tools to do so. When I tried this it was actually harder then I thought to get all the details of our selves but here is my art. Have you ever done art on google drawings before?

This term we have been put in groups to go to Diana Isaac and do some activities some of the choices to choose from were: Baking, Technology, Balloon Sport, Art. The option I chose was baking and my group went on the 17th of May. In my group we walked down to Diana Isaac and when we got there we made chocolate chip cookies. What activity would you ave chosen?

This week for my reading workshop the journal we read is about climate change. For our create task we had to make a poster which included information about climate change and what is going on in our world. Here is my poster I created: Have you ever read about climate change before?

This term for Winter sports I am playing Hockey out of Netball, rugby, Football and Hockey. I am in the A team my team members are: Gaby, Petra, Isabella, Mereana, Neila, Grace, Oliver, Ben and I. We have won all of our games and we are all having so much fun participating in this opportunity. We all work together really well and the other teams do very well too. What sport would you have chosen and why?

In my math workshop for the week our goal is to use a variety of strategies to calculate the area of rectangles, parallelograms, and triangles. We had to make a video on how to figure the area of a shape here is my video. Do you know how to work out the area of a shape?

This week for my reading workshop our goal is: How can we use questions to challenge the text, question the author, establish the authenticity of the text and state opinions? Last term for my leadership group I am in the Arts group so that includes: Visual Art, Dancing, Drama, and Music. Our activity we did last term is that on a Thursday lunch time we would take different age groups and play drama activities. The first lesson we did was with the year 1&2s we played a few games and did the same with the year 3&4s. Have you done drama before?

This week for my reading workshop our goal is think while reading, pick up new information, and come up with new ideas and new thinking. The book we are reading is Meme And Me. This week my class is doing Break Out EDU this is like an escape room. The room was based on the movie Wonder and how he makes new friends. My group did break out EDU on Wednesday and we escaped in 15 minutes with 30 minutes to spare. I found it really fun and good for team building skills. Have you ever done something like this?

On Wednesday as you now the teachers went on strike it wasn't for the money but for more time to teach us students. I think that they do deserve less paper work and more time to teach us because our education is important and the teachers deserve more for what they are dong. They are essentially guiding the future generation. How do you feel about our teachers going on strike?
