Creative Writing

Hi and welcome back.
This week we have been doing creative writing, We get given a picture from pobble 365 and have to write a story about it.
Here is a sample of my writing:
Empty Boots
Picking up the boots I find flowers old and brown underneath crumpled up. I step on something hard like rock as I looked down I see a rock with engraving of a name and a date. John Everstain 1964-2018. Must be a gravestone I thought to myself.
“Sttttttss”
There's something or someone there in the bushes. Emerging from the bushes is a little girl long blond hair with streaks of lighter blond. She carrying flower must be for the grave then.
“Hey what are you doing with my dads boots.” She squealed at the top of her lungs hoping I would run and let go of them.
“So these are your dad's boots.” I asked
“Yes now let them go and put them back where you found them. Your not taking them again this time and now that I’ve caught you I’m taking this to the police.”
“Umm hold on there I was just passing by, saw this and got curious so I picked this up.”
As I put my hand in my pockets the little girl squeals again but even louder piercing my ears.
“Don’t you dare! Take out you knife or whatever weapon you have in there I’m not going to die like how my dad did not deserving to die.”She yelled at me making regret walking in the woods even when I love the wind.

This week we got to draw a piece of paper out of a box and that would have a random country on it. With that country you had to do some research about it and write some instructions on a skill or game from that country. Next week we will be picking a type of food and making it then bringing it to school so there will be a whole assortment of food for everyone to try from all over the world but I will only be sharing my instructions maybe next week will be about the food. :) Here is my instructions on how to play Hul Gul: How to play Dutch Hul Gul Materials: *Buttons or any large quantity of small objects. *People to play with ( Any amount of people except by yourself) Gather buttons Give each player 10 buttons Each player places any amount of buttons up to 10 in their hand. Player 1 then holds out their hand face down with the buttons in hand so the other player(s) can’t see. Player 1 now asks another player (Player 2) how many buttons do I have in my hand.

Cross Country

Last week on Thursday my school had cross country. In my age group the year 8s had to run 3km and I came 5th which means I will be going to zones. At 9:00 am the whole school walked down to Walter park to start running, first was the year 8 boys and we finished with the year 6 girls. Everyone ran really well and tried their best I had a lot of fun running and cheering people on. After everyone was super tired and exhausted. Have you ever done cross country if you have how did you do?

Sports Rotations

For the last few weeks every Thursday we have been rotating between 4 sports in our home base's: Cricket, Lawn Bowls, Softball and Korfball. Korfball is a new sport to most of us in class and it is a bit like netball but with a few different rules during game. In Korfball instead the hoops were plastic and taller than the usual hoops. My home base has done all of them except Lawn Bowls and in our next rotation we will be doing that. Have you ever played Korfball before?
