This week we have been working on some art on google drawings. We had to draw a portrait of our selves and use google drawings tools to do so. When I tried this it was actually harder then I thought to get all the details of our selves but here is my art. Have you ever done art on google drawings before?

Last term for my leadership group I am in the Arts group so that includes: Visual Art, Dancing, Drama, and Music. Our activity we did last term is that on a Thursday lunch time we would take different age groups and play drama activities. The first lesson we did was with the year 1&2s we played a few games and did the same with the year 3&4s. Have you done drama before?

In the last week my class have been working on an art project about discrimination. We would draw or take a picture of our selves and put it on a piece of paper then we would get a quote, story or something off the internet about discrimination and put it besides our body above the body we would put a slogan or a logo. Here is mine. Have you ever done art like this?

Last week we worked in out house colour groups and deigned a t-shirt there will be one winning design.. Teachers or peer mediators can give out little cards with their name on it if they were doing something kind. The kids then put it in a jar in out office and at assembly if their name get's pulled out then they win a t-shirt. Here is my group's t-shirt: Have you ever designed a T-shirt before?

For the last two weeks we have been working on our art. What we had to do is print out a picture of us and stick it to a piece of paper. Then we had to draw traits about ourselves coming from our head. Here is mine: In each section there is a word in mine there is: Creativity, Passion, Responsible and kind. Have your ever done art like this?

In school the year 8s get the chance to be in a leadership group the different groups are: *The Arts- Dance, Music, Drama, Visual art *PALS- Physical activities leaders *Media Team- Showing learning across the school. *Environment- Keeping the school healthy and safe. *STEM- Science, Technology, Engineering and Math *Googlers- Technology/robots To get into these groups we had to write a letter to the teachers saying why we would be good in our groups we had to do this for our first and second choice just in case if we didn't get into our first. This was my letter: Dear Kaupeka Teachers, My first choice is the Arts because I have a interest in all of the different arts and I like teaching and leading others about things they have not done before. Creating and leading a safe environment is very important for their learning and I can present that for you. There are lot's of different styles of arts and it is good to cover most of them to learn them to the full capacity...

This term has been a great and fun term. My highlights of term 1 are: Tech Science Drama Art Banqer ............................................................................................................ Because all of them teach me stuff I didn't know and they do it in a fun way. Like in science I was learning about animal communication and I learnt that bees communicate through dancing and we got to act it out. ............................................................................................................ My low lights  for term 1 are: Honestly  I don't have any that's how good this term has been. ............................................................................................................ My goals for term 2 are... To be confident with speaking to a large group. To improve in my math (eg strategies.) Read at least 7 books in one term at home and/or School.
