Term 1 Reflection

This term has been a great and fun term.

My highlights of term 1 are:
  • Tech
  • Science
  • Drama
  • Art
  • Banqer

Because all of them teach me stuff I didn't know and they do it in a fun way. Like in science I was learning about animal communication and I learnt that bees communicate through dancing and we got to act it out.

My low lights for term 1 are:
Honestly I don't have any that's how good this term has been.

My goals for term 2 are...
  • To be confident with speaking to a large group.
  • To improve in my math (eg strategies.)
  • Read at least 7 books in one term at home and/or School.

This is the first paragraph of my silent writing that I worked on with my friend Samantha, the name of the story is "The Girls Imagination". Her imagination is forcing her to create something that isn’t reality.She is loosing her breath and mind physically and mentally. She can’t stop her mind it’s too late she jumped off the rocky cliff edge her imagination is now her worst nightmare.She plunged into the surging water as she braced herself for the impact holding her breath she sees light as she got closer the bigger and louder it got it was like a strong force was pulling me she could no longer control herself she starts to loose her breath she knew straight away that she would never make it out alive, then all of a sudden she starts to float away from the hole.

Ballantynes Fire Blurb

This term for P.B.L we have been learning about New Zealand history. We had to choose a event in New Zealand and write a blurb about it. This is mine: The Ballantynes Fire On the 18th of November 1947 one of the staff members saw smoke coming out of the stairwell then the fire broke out at 3:30. Unfortunately when they tried to call the brigade they did not log this call. The staff on the ground floor assumed the fire could be maintained so no evacuation happened. When staff came back they were told to get back to work without any sign about the fire.They only started evacuating the staff and customers once the smoke got more intense and became more dangerous. New Zealand Book Awards

On Monday my class went to the New Zealand book awards it was held in Saint Margret school. My class got divied up into two groups. I went in the first group so the writers that I saw was  Fleur Beale, Joanna Grochowicz, and Suzanne  they explained what their books were about and how they came up with the idea. Two classmates from my class got one of their books signed by them. Have you ever been to book awards?
